Services for Forrest R. Holmes, 79, of 409 N. Walnut, a life resident of Danville who died Tuesday night, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Berhalter Funeral Home. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Paul Kinder will officiate. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home 7-9 tonight. Mr. Holmes was born March 21, 1889, in Danville, a son of Robert and Edith Jayne Miller Holmes. He was married in August of 1916 to Gertrude Marie Fitzgerald who preceded him in death in July of 1960. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. William (Mary Jayne) Gribler of Merritt Island, Fla., and a brother, W. G. Holmes of Omaha, Neb. --typed by Walt W
